Dr. Weaver

Dr. Brenda Weaver, international consultant, educator, professor, lecturer, and writer received her doctorate degree from Syracuse University and undergraduate degree in psychology and education from the State University of New York at Oswego, NY.  Brenda won a New York State Scholarship to study in New Zealand to learn the attributes of the New Zealand Literacy Program where 99% of all students learn to read and write.  Upon her return to the Skaneateles, NY School District as Curriculum Coordinator, she developed and implemented a national award winning Literacy Program.

Brenda has authored several professional articles and published books (Scholastic Inc. & International Reading Association) on the topic.  Brenda wanted all children to have this advantage in life and has consulted in numerous schools throughout the United States and was a consultant for the American Schools in The Netherlands.

To further her goal of teaching all children of various abilities how to read and write, upon retirement Brenda became a professor at Cazenovia College in New York State.  She taught future teachers how to meet all children’s needs in becoming literate.

She continues to share her knowledge of teaching and how students learn best as an educational consultant, course instructor, private tutor, and consulting with teachers across the country via media.
